AutoCad Training Programme

Kingshillcad offers two types of programme:

1. Flexible syllabus courses to achieve a reasonable level of competence to equip students to prepare a variety of engineering, architectural or general design drawings. This course is delivered either as a Fast Track or as a less intensive option. We aim to tailor these courses to your industry and specific requirements. Both courses include our unique training videos to enhance the learning process.
   
   
2. Bespoke training where help is needed in particular technical areas. This can also include skills update to the latest version of AutoCad LT or problem solving with your own CAD applications.

Flexible Syllabus Courses

Our flexible syllabus (click here) can be tailored to individuals and to company requirements to some extent although it is designed to deliver a complete training programme aimed at either the complete novice or user with basic skills and wishing to learn more advanced techniques. We keep our costs low and yet offer one to one training! Training is normally organised in multiple short sessions in order to enhance the learning experience although fewer, longer sessions can be arranged. Costs quoted are for each complete course and the basic cost shown is for one to one tuition.

Costs:

Beginner+Intermediate Fast Track AutoCad/AutoCad LT Training Course
£350 for one learner; £250 for one additional student on the same training session. Arranged as 3 separate sessions totalling approximately 12 to 14 hours, the content of this course has been designed to cover "everything" that a designer is likely to need to prepare competent cad drawings. However there is sufficient flexibility to include extra subject matter which is particularly relevent to the learner's specific work area.

This is an intensive Fast Track course, ideal for learners with time or budgetary constraints. It does not provide time for on-going exercises within training time. Sessions are intentionally kept short to enhance the learning process. Delegates are expected to practice between sessions.

The Less Intensive AutoCad & AutoCad LT Training Course (17hrs).
The course content is the same as the Fast Track option but also includes practice sessions and more opportunity for hands-on learning. The course is arranged in 2 x 5 hr sessions + a third 7 hr session. The total cost is £450 for one student (£350 for one additional student booked on the same session). Delegates are expected to practice between sessions.

 

Training is normally carried out at your premises using your equipment and software, minimising the inconvenience to your company and your staff. The trainer will arrive equipped with a laptop and free standing monitor. It is also possible to train in our own well-equipped training room although only one student can be accommodated at a time.

Travel costs may apply and will be charged at 60p per mile and for longer journeys will incur a nominal charge for travelling time.

Students are provided with comprehensive course notes, training exercises and our specially developed training videos (computer-based dvd format). Students are also able to use our informal email and telephone support during and after the course (subject to "reasonable" demand).

 

Bespoke Training

Individually tailored training courses can be arranged to suit your own requirements. This is particularly advantageous where existing skills need improving and can result in the cheapest option.

Costs:

Training is charged at £35/hr on your premises. Additional charges will be made for travel and for more than one student.

AutoCad 2008LT and 2009LT (new!) Skills Update

If you have recently acquired the newest version of AutoCad LT, we can bring you up to speed quickly and efficiently. This is charged at our Bespoke Training rates. If you are still baffled by 2008, (mastered annotation?) we can update you here too.

Travel Costs

Travel is charged at 60p/mile. No charge is made for time while travelling for short distances.

Note

Training is not carried out in "public" groups but with an individual ("one to one") or with a maximum of one additional colleague.

Training times are approximate and based on a typical student. Where times need to be extended adjustment will be made to the final cost at £30/hr.

A completion certificate is available on request.
